Welcome to the home of Lakeside Smokers. Lakeside was "born" in 2003 after Mike, our pitboss, was bit by the BBQ bug. Mike's obsession actually started many years ago when he started homebrewing. Beer was his first passion, until one too many episodes of Alton Brown enticed him into constructing his first smoker made from two large terra cotta pots. He smoked a delicious pulled pork and his hungry friends and relatives have been loyal eaters of his BBQ ever since. Sunday's became known as smoking days at Forest Lake in Methuen, MA. People would call or just drop by to ask the weekly question, "What's Mike cooking?"

In 2004 BBQ mania picked up momentum. Mike got his first store bought smoker. After a while he yearned for more, so in 2006 he designed and fabricated a smoker which faithfully produces great BBQ. Since 2003 Mike and company have hit the BBQ circuit with fervor. Over 2,500 miles have been traveled in search of great BBQ. Along the way we have met many fantastic people and BBQ teams including QHaven, Lost Nation, Bastey Boys, Lunchmeat, IQUE, Red Planet, The Anchormen, I Smell Smoke!!!, Dr. Frank-n-Swine, and Puddle of Rubb to name just a few!! In 2006 the Lakeside Smokers team was founded and competed in it's first event, the Rock 'N Ribfest™ in Merrimack, NH. Lakeside took home it's first trophy for third place in the chicken category. We were BLOWN AWAY and totally hooked on BBQ!!

We would like to thank our family and friends who have been loyal fans and "tasters" over the last few years. We appreciate your support and although we won't be competing until 2007, there's always next Sunday!!!!
